The Project
Ampguard is the product of a year-long university project in which all students in the program work together to develop, promote, and publish a game. With over 50 people, it's a great opportunity to get hands-on experience working together as a large team, solving problems and developing a game from start to finish. Responsible for marketing, publishing and event management as the project's public relations director, I learned a lot from and with my team.

Working together with my team, we planned and launched our own online marketing campaigns and were able to get numerous interested players inside and outside of Germany excited about our game and increase our range. We also established our game in the immediate vicinity by using self-designed advertising media and promotional materials.
The release of the game on Steam , the largest game distribution platform, allowed us to celebrate a wide-ranging launch. The student-developed game was downloaded over 15,000 times in the first two weeks. Our success was also reported in the German industry magazine Gamesmarkt.

Launch Day Event
Every year, the end of the development period and the release of the game are celebrated at beta, the university's own event for interactive entertainment. As the producer, I was responsible for the event organization. Due to the Corona pandemic, we planned to transform the on-site event into a high-reach online event.
Together with my team, I was able to enter into great collaborations with well-known sponsors such as fritz-kola, jambit and CipSoft, invite talented speakers with interesting presentations, offer an exciting keynote at the launch of the game and reach thousands of viewers.
